Sadly, with the splitting of Heidi Klum and Seal, not to mention Katy Perry and Russell Brand, marriage is starting to get a bad rap in Hollywood. “Like Heidi said, it wasn’t the fairy tale she thought it was going to be,” wedding planner to the stars Mindy Weiss — who actually worked with both former couples as well as many others, including Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, and Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck — told In Touch at the David’s Bridal launch party for her new book.
But Mindy isn’t losing hope. “I think with all these celebrity breakups, people are going to work harder at staying together,” she explained. And thanks to her new book, The Wedding Planner & Organizer, every bride can have the tools needed to throw their own celebrity-style wedding. “I give it to all my clients,” revealed Mindy, who also confirmed she has been asked to plan Jessica Simpson’s wedding to Eric Johnson. According to Mindy, sticking to a budget and staying organized are crucial.
