Jude Law Steps Out to End Domestic Violence

Stepping out in London to support a great cause, Jude Law made an appearance at the Grosvenor House on Wednesday (March 21) to help reduce domestic violence around the globe.

The English stud was clad in an all-black ensemble aside from his grey suit jacket as he posed for photographers before entering the event.

The "Sherlock Homes" star joined British actress Thandie Newton to help launch "Reducing Domestic Violence" for the charity Peace One Day.

Law, who is the ambassador of the charity, spoke with MSN News about how proud he is to be a part of such a great organization, saying, "The involvement of organizations working to counter domestic violence around the world will bring us another step closer to the institutionalization of an annual Peace Day and I am proud to be supporting the process."

Peace Day, which is a day specified for all organizations looking to reduce domestic violence to come together, will be held on September 21.

Also in attendance at the event were Baroness Scotland of Asthal and founder, Jeremy Gilley, who has high hopes for this year's Peace Day, saying, "We're hoping this will be the largest ever reduction of violence on one day - a world record."
